RESUME
After serving in the United States Coast Guard, Ronald A. Hecker received a B.A. with Honors in 1962 in Political Science from the University of California at Riverside. As part of his undergraduate studies he spent a year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1965 from Boalt Hall, the Law School of the University of California, Berkeley. He worked a year as a Research Attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Upon admission to the Bar, he went into private practice in Los Angeles.
In 1973, Mr. Hecker went to Israel where he worked for the State Attorney General and in 1974 successfully passed the Israel Bar Examination in Hebrew. He then served on the legal staff of Israel Aircraft Industries, which was part of the Ministry of Defense. In 1976, Mr. Hecker opened an office in Tel Aviv, specializing in commercial transactions and corporations.
In 1977 Mr. Hecker returned to California. Since then he has maintained an office in Beverly Hills and another in Tel Aviv which handles commercial, real estate, probate and family law cases. He has an affiliated office in Milan, Italy. He is admitted to practice in California, New York, the United States Supreme Court and Israel.
Ronald Hecker serves as a Temporary Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court and a Mediator for the California Court of Appeals.
Mr. Hecker holds an appointment as Instructor of Law at UCLA extension.
